About Carrington for Education

I am Charles Carrington I have a bachelor's and Master's Degree in Computer Science from North Carolina A&T where I got my research background. I am former Division 1 Athlete and currently an IT manager in the Federal Government. And I am a small business owner. But I am a kid from St. Mary's. I grew up here. I came up in the Lexington Park area and matriculated through the St. Mary's County School System. I attended Greenview Knolls, Esperanza Middle School, Kings Christian Academy before graduating from Great Mills High School. I also attended St. Mary's College of Maryland before moving on to North Carolina A&T.

Why am I running? I am a product of the SMCPS and many of the same problems I saw when I was in school still exist or have worsened. I've spoken to parents, and other concerned members in the community who see the same issues and I realize that I am young enough and old enough, with enough experience to make a difference. I am a concerned member of the community and recognize that we all have the responsibility to serve.
